Empties!!!!

This month seem like it was all about the lotion. I finished up a few bottles that I just had a little bit left. The freshwater cucumber lotion from Bath and Body Works is one of my favorites but unfortunately it's discontinued. The eucalyptus spearmint lotion will definitely wake you up if you're sleepy. I love how light the suave lotion is and the scent is real nice. It's not an overpowering scent. I absolutely love the Calgon Tahitian Orchid line of products. It is definitely one I'm repurchasing. I also used up a Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer this month. I wish they made this margarita scent in a shower gel. One last thing I forgot to put in the picture is a cucumber melon shower gel from Bath and Body Works. I can't even tell you how many of those I have purchased over the years. I definitely will be repurchasing that.

Product Spotlight

I am obsessed with this new body wash by Suave in the almond verbena scent. This is definitely a new favorite.  The same scent also came in a deodorant. I wish it came in a lotion. It has a light scent that isn't overpowering.  I love how creamy and silky it is.  Bubbles for days.

Book Review: The Last Juror by John Grisham

The second (after a Time to Kill) in Grisham's Ford County books and just as good as the first. I love this series and can't wait to read the rest. Grisham blends drama with history and manages to keep you on the edge of your seat from cover to cover. Set at the end of the civil rights era in Clanton Mississippi, two men and one family has a profound effect on the town.

Book Review: Timeless Love by Judith O'brien

One moment Sam is afraid her dad is going to kill her for scratching his BMW than the next moment she is standing in the bedroom of King Edward VI. History comes  alive  like Sam never imagined.  I love time travel romance books and I also love the Tudors.  So this book feels like it was written just for me.  I absolutely loved it.

Book Review: Alex Cross's Trial by James Patterson

James Patterson takes a different turn with his Alex Cross series. During some down time Alex decides to write a novel based on an old family story.  This is the that novel and it is great.  Ben is sent by the president to investigate lynchings in Mississippi in 1906.  Right away Ben gets involved way over his head and finds his life in danger. With the help of Alex Cross's cousin moody and her grandfather Abraham Ben takes on the KKK and racism in the deep south.  I really loved this book and I hope Patterson writes more like this.

Currently...

This Week I Am...

Reading... The Maze Runner by James Dashner.  The movie is coming out really soon and I can't wait to see it.  The book was a little slow to start but I am now engrossed with it and i don't want to put it down.  I'm about half way through with it and hope to finish it soon.  I need to start reading faster since I am so far behind in my Goodreads challenge.

Watching... Botched on E! channel.  This reality show stars Dr Dubrow from the Real Housewives of Orange County as he and his partners fix bad plastic surgery.  Each episode has crazier stories than the episode before it.

Listening... Lie under you by Keke Wyatt is a beautiful song.  If you watch R&B Divas Atlanta than you know Keke and this song.  If you don't watch than you should and you should download this song.  This is a great wedding song.  Also I have been listening to Jhene Aiko.  She blends R&B and hip hop in a real smooth way.

Dreading...  All of the housework I need to do that I have been putting off.

Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira

Haunting but sad and beautiful all at once. Laurel receives an education in music love and loss. You'll need tissues when you read this.  One of the best books I've read in awhile.  Highly recommended.
